Providence Health & Services Chaplain Priest in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Chaplain Priest (.25 FTE - 10 hours per week, Day Shift) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 2 hours per day with the occasional Sunday coverage during Mass.
In this position you will:
Perform age-specific spiritual assessments of patients regarding healing and support resources.
Communicate with patients, families and members of the health care team in an effort to enhance dignity, autonomy and self-respect as well as a sense of hope and spiritual well being.
Cooperate with other disciplines, units and programs as an active member of the care team.
Provide sacramental ministry and preside at Eucharistic Liturgies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Coursework necessary for ordination at a Catholic Seminary: Masters of Divinity Degree OR 2 or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education OR 2 or more years in pastoral ministry (or equivalent)
Ordained Roman Catholic Priest
Confirmation of the local Bishop and/or Superior of the Religious Order
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Previous Chaplaincy experience
