Providence Health & Services Clinical Nurse Manager - Cardiac Surgery Service Line in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Clinical Nurse Manager Cardiac Surgery Service Line (Cardiac Surgery and Recovery Services , Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group Montana in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Implement a culture within organizational groups that leads to greater excellence or continuous improvement.
Assist the Service Line Director in the execution of business strategy.
Align work group with the organization’s vision; gains team commitment to related ideas and strategies.
Lead unit practice committees and provides guidance and input in unit activities.
Promote staff participation in unit practice decision in unit practice decision.
Participate in unit medical staff committees as indicated by Service Line Director.
Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to build productive working relationships and facilitate care delivery. Participates in and may lead Value Streams related to and intersecting with the unit.
Create an environment that empowers staff with skills, resources and information to take ownership and be self-directed to take initiative on behalf of patients and customers.
Report any incidences or occurrences that affect the delivery of care. Enters them into the system of record and follows up on any changes (if needed) that need to be made as a result of the incident. Participates and/or cunducts any investigation related to the incidents.
Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to build productive working relationships and facilitate care delivery. Contributes to the organizations efforts to sustain Magnet status.
Achieve clinical outcome targets across the care continuum (Quality Strategic Plan, hand off communication, evidence based practice).
Use Lean as process improvement tool. Participate and/or lead in Value Stream work.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Three (3) years of Nursing experience in the specialty area
One (1) year previous experience in a leadership role
One (1) year experience relating to having a good understanding of quality outcome measures specific to clinical area and be able to apply indicators and quality outcomes to drive bedside practice
Unencumbered RN license in Montana upon hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: AHA, ARC or MTN upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing
Three (3) years of In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular nursing experience
