Providence is calling an Clinical Secretary (Family Maternity Center, Night Shift, 0.6 FTE, 24 Hours Per Week) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula Montana. In this position you will:
Assist in orienting families. Provide information to families in a positive and courteous manner
Assist nursing staff with basic patient safety management as required
Report and document any unusual patient or administrative occurrence that may have an effect on the patient’s and/or staff’s well being.
Serve as a member and participates in committee assignments for department as assigned
Ability to manipulate data systems to generate reports, analyse and graphics
Accurate and timely handling of all in and out-going mail
Accurately and timely transcribe/type/prepare all dictated and other requested materials
Accurately maintain all communication and patient logs
Accurately schedule patient appointments and room assignments
Act as recording secretary at departmental meetings when directed
Assist with office functions as needed, including but not limited to answering phones, typing, filing, data entry, billing, collection, patient registration and patient accounting system
Maintain general and educational supply inventory
Prepare, order, and organize all group/project materials as directe
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all state, county, city and departmental reports
Provide clear, concise pertinent patient reports/information
Recognize and respond to differences in legal consent issues of patients and families, i.e. consent forms, advance directives and DPOA
- Current experience in a Clinical Secretary or Administrative Assistant role
