Providence Health & Services Endoscopy Technician in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an Endoscopy Technician (Endoscopy, Day Shift, 0.5 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Assist physician and RN and anticipates their needs with Endoscopy procedures.
Assist with patient’s comfort and mobility needs.
Complete delegated patient care activities and records and reports variations.
Contribute to the assessment of the patient by collecting information for analysis by an RN.
Give complete and accurate report to licensed staff upon completion of tasks and duties.
Provide age and culturally appropriate patient care, upon the criteria outlined in the Nursing Department Standard.
Provide for safety needs of patients.
Provide or assists patient with personal hygiene and elimination needs.
Reports abnormal data element findings to licensed staff (including vital signs and O2 sats).
Safely assist patients with mobility and transfer needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) required within 2 years of hire into the position
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Certified Technicians or equivalent program
Montana Nursing Assistant Certification or AAS Surgical Tech Degree or EMT or nursing student
Previous Endoscopy experience
