Providence Health & Services Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehabilitation in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an Exercise Physiologist (Cardiac Rehabilitation, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is a supplemental role, so doesn't come with benefits or guaranteed hours. It will have variable start times, all weekday day shift.
In this position you will:
Implement and supervise the physical exercise program in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
Design and coordinate educational programming for Phase II outpatients including outside speakers and guests.
Greet patients and collect vital signs, weight and home exercise data.
Discuss goals and treatment plans with patient and family.
Monitor discharge planning to ensure appropriate follow-up plan is clearly in place.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, with emphasis in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
Registered American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Two (2) years experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical field
