Providence Health & Services Imaging Scheduler in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an Imaging Scheduler (Support Services Radiology, Variable Shift, 1.0) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Gets approval for OT and ET if appointments and certain modalities are running behind, or if any special circumstances in progress will affect customer service and our modalities.
Helps patients in any way employee is capable to make their visit pleasant and productive.
Makes suggestions that might make the department (and therefore St. Patrick Hospital) provide excellent service.
Makes suggestions on what might be needed to perform this job.
Ensures that the office looks and acts professional.
Presents in-services or other educational offerings as assigned.
Trains new employees as asked to do by supervisor.
Calls for medical necessity sheets and makes spreadsheet to fax to offices.
Checks incoming faxes/printer output regularly and distributes as needed.
Cleans workplace and logs off computers at end of shift.
Communicates schedule changes to appropriate departments and personnel.
Coordinates all schedules in order to ensure a smooth daily operation.
Demonstrates efficiency when handling telephone requests and messages.
Effective in scheduling examinations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Basic understanding of medical terminology.
Must be able to learn and demonstrate necessary computer and work processing skills.
Computer skills, experience with multi-line phone and general office.
Knowledge of Excel.
