Providence Library Specialist in Missoula, Montana
Providence St. Joseph is calling a Library Specialist to our location in Missoula, MT. This is an on-site position position with no remote work.
We are seeking a Library Specialist to provide technical customer service and library support including circulation, current awareness, Interlibrary Loan and basic research support for medical professionals throughout Providence.
In this position you will:
Assist in the maintenance, configuring, and troubleshooting of the online e-resource collection.
ILL requests: either incoming or outgoing; process resource sharing requests such as interlibrary lending, borrowing, or document delivery.
Provide and maintain speedy access to a large collection of primary source materials in order to aid in decision-making.
Help instruct and assist customers in the use of the library’s equipment, catalogs, databases, public website, internet, and/or database applications; troubleshoot equipment issues.
Provide current awareness alerts to help our providers stay up to date on research and commentary.
Present programming targeted toward technology training or utilization for customer groups
Provide general, basic reference and information service.
Ensure that routine/preventive maintenance on assigned equipment is completed, and provide troubleshooting, diagnosis, and minor repair of hardware and software.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High School diploma with some college
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with data entry and meta-data
Experience in a hospital or health science environment
