Operating Room Core Technician
Hours: This is a 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) position

OR Core Technician receives case carts from CP for surgical procedure, picks suture and gloves for each procedure and clears cases. Assists room staff by having carts organized and supplies accessible for quick retrieval. OR Core Tech is responsible for maintaining core inventory, cycle counts and outdates, keeping core orderly, filling warmers and rotating stock and wrapping core items and maintaining a clean, safe workplace. OR Core Technician is responsible for cleaning and Decontamination of surgical instrumentation, reassembly and wrapping sets when needed OR Core Technician is responsible for proper use and cleaning of sterilizers, and proper use of sonic cleaners and other related equipment. In addition to other duties, the Core Tech will keep accurate records, maintain forms and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Surgery Supply Supervisor. The Core Tech is responsible for knowing sterile techniques
