Providence Health & Services Pharmacist in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Pharmacist (Pharmacy, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assess patient drug therapy needs.
Check for appropriate therapeutic use, appropriate dosage, duplicates, allergies, drug interactions, order changes and contraindications.
Counsel patients concerning appropriate use and possible adverse events from their medications.
Provide staff development for techs or pharmacists in area of interest.
Take an active role in process improvement or other quality initiatives.
Disseminate patient-care related information to healthcare team members as needed
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Montana
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Completion of ASHP accredited residency program
Prior hospital pharmacy experience
Prior hospital pharmacy / residency experience
Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialty
