Providence Health & Services RN - First STEP Examiner in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) - First STEP Examiner (Dept, Shift, 0.0) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Conduct medical examination and document medical history and examination findings in medical records.
Communicate with law enforcement and Child and Family Services Division as indicated.
Follow up on counseling referrals.
Share call responsibilities with other examiners to provide coverage for the provision of primarily adolescent and adult examinations.
Respond to consult requests from the Emergency Department or other acute care areas of the hospital.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Montana State
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Demonstrated ability, interest, and concern in the area of abuse and assault
Knowledge of evidence preservation
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
3 years nursing experience highly preferred
