Providence Health & Services RN - Lactation Specialist in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse – Lactation Specialist (Family Maternity Center, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Provide direct assistance to lactating patients and to the nurses responsible for patient care.
Assume independent responsibility and authority for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation/follow-up either by personal intervention or through delegation to team members.
Individualize patient care using age related concepts based on the unit population.
Participate in the development and implementation of programs for Women’s & Children’s Services as directed by Regional Director of Women’s and Children’s and the Clinical Nurse Manager for the FMC.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
Current International Board of Lactation Consultants Certified or Counselor Certified
3 years current nursing or Lactation Specialist experience in obstetrical or newborn care in an acute care hospital
