Providence Health & Services RN – Quality Assurance in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Quality Specialist (1.0 FTE Day, Monday-Friday) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Design quality improvement processes.
Monitor and analyze performance through data collection and analysis.
Work to improve and sustain improved performance.
Coordinate and integrate clinical performance improvement across committees and clinical specialties.
Collaborate with Clinical Informatics, process improvement and Healthcare Informational Technology for quality related EHR and reporting needs.
Work with multiple data sources and tools including but not limited to Meditech, Epic, Cedaron, Premier, and, if assigned, various registries such as ACC, NDNQI and STS.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Montana State
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) within 6 months
Demonstrated understanding and communication of statistical concepts
Be able to handle behavioral issues of others while under highly stressful and volatile situations
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
A nationally recognized, quality related certification
Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience, customer relations and patient outcomes experience
Experience with projects, TJC, and leadership
Performance/process improvement experience
