Providence Scheduler in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Scheduler (Surgery and Recovery Services , Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group Montana in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Check incoming faxes/printer output regularly and distribute as needed. Distribute mail if asked to do so.
Contact vendors when needed.
Copy and distribute schedule at the end of the day.
Create orientation packets for new surgeons.
Create pivot table in Excel to calculate requested statistics.
Create spreadsheets for data collection as requested by surgery staff.
Download data from Meditech database using programs developed by decision support.
Edit call schedule as needed.
Effectively schedule Neurosurgery procedures and prepare and print next-day schedule.
Format data into Excel database program.
Input anesthesiology information.
Input data from nursing records.
Input lab orders.
Keep up-to-date with changes in front desk requirements to be able to fill in for vacations and/or unplanned absences.
Keep up-to-date with changes in scheduling to be able to fill in for vacations and/or unplanned absences.
Merge databases to link staffing with case information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Computer skills, experience with multi-line phone and general office equipment
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Previous Scheduling experience
