The Neurobehavioral Medicine Administrative Assistant III supports Mental Health Services for the Inpatient, Outpatient and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization units at St Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center. This support consists of secretarial, receptionist, billing and administrative management assistance. This assistant must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. This position includes responsibility for various correspondence, patient registration, patient billing entry, phone triage and courtesy specialist. Entering all the facility work orders, supply ordering for all units and OT including off campus errands. Control and monitoring of p-card and petty cash. Data entry into several different systems, scheduling meetings, taking minutes at department meeting, and developing pt pictures. Managing the Federal Probation Contract including administration of collection and chain of custody. Organization of patient charts and chemical dependency consults for all of St Pats., Organization of Department social events, changing the elevator signs for mission leadership and empting the thumbs up box for the Providence Center and routing them to administration. Providence Center general information including dispersing of mail and responding to crisis calls and walk-in emergencies. Costumer Service for patients and visitors. Special projects or functions as directed by the Department Director including helping with program strategizing. This assistant will use advanced computer skills and must work in a team environment. This position requires an understanding of basic medical terminology.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduation or certificate from a secretarial training program or equivalent educ/experience

  • Required upon hire: Crisis Prevention certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years Experience in a similar work structure and responsibility.
