Providence Health & Services X-ray Ultrasound Technologist in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a X-ray Ultrasound Technologist (Imaging Services, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Communicate with radiologist on scheduled Ultrasound procedures
Complete all worksheets for Radiologists
Explain procedure to patient and family and answer questions about procedures
Respect patient privacy. Keeps curtain closed and keeps patient covered
Strive to do all inpatient NPO exams in the morning
Talk to, or has someone talk to, the patient if unable to do outpatient exam within 10 minutes of arrival
Charge for correct codes and accounts
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an Ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic Technology Education (JRCRTE) or equivalent educ/experience
ARDMS or equivalent or eligibility within 18 months
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 6 months or greater experience
