Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Associate Sponsored Project Analyst PSJH work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.
We are seeking an Associate Sponsored Project Analyst PSJH who will provide specific and knowledgeable support in the gathering, compiling, analyzing, and reporting of sponsored projects (grants and research) information. The position is the first in a series of sponsored project positions focused on compliance and operational transactions, including financial data. Work includes data entry, specialized review of entries for completeness and accuracy, and assisting others in specialized duties. Associate Analysts are expected to master a process, or an assigned process sub-set, and be able to train others on their scope, as well as identify opportunities for improvement in ongoing work quality (inputs and outputs) and suggest process improvements. Access to sensitive information is expected, and knowledge of compliance and responsible use of sensitive data is an expectation. Clear, concise and friendly communication with stakeholders is expected. Positions in this classification are reserved for the Office of Sponsored Projects use only.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide Technical Assistance: Serves as Point of Contact to the rest of the organization for basic issues, technical solutions, and Sponsored Project processes they oversee.
Coordinate Documentation for Sponsored Projects: May coordinate receipt of awards and contract documentation; and or maintains proposal and funding records in pre-award software platform.
Provides Specialized Support for Financial and Accounts Payable Management: May assist with Sponsored Project processes inclusive of (but not limited to) post award administration activities such as preparation of JE's, financial reports, project setup/close activities, and low level monitoring of compliance through quality control procedures.
Assists in Reporting: Generate canned (pre-built) reports as requested by leadership.
Regulatory Review: May assist in review of federal, state, and other sponsor publications, funding opportunities, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with and identify exceptions to sponsor and organizational requirements.
Provides Specialized Support for Cash and Revenue Management: May handle cash management for various sponsored projects. Including but not limited to access to various bank accounts and lockboxes, and ensuring payments are accurately reconciled to respective projects.
Assists with carrying out standardization efforts for the central management of research grants and finance efforts.
Assists with Special Projects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in any of the preferred fields: Accounting, Public Administration, Finance, Healthcare -OR- 2 years of applicable experience in Healthcare, Research, Finance, Accounting, Education, or Legal fields.
1 year Closely related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1-year Research/grant/healthcare administration.
Knowledge of, and ability to find and interpret relevant regulatory requirements related to OMB Uniform Guidance and Federal Acquisition Regulations as it relates to duties assigned.
Knowledge and understanding of computer-aided research and administration and financial systems (e.g. Cayuse, Lawson, Oracle). Ability to navigate and maintain required registrations in various government systems.
