Providence Senior Business Analyst, Revenue Cycle Systems *Telecommute* in Montana

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Business Analyst RCS PSJH to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst RCS PSJH who will participate in a wide variety of complex financial analyses, including but not limited to revenue and operational improvement. Conducts financial and operational analyses, identifies areas for improvement, develops and implements recommendations for process improvements. Provides meaningful reporting and analytic solutions to leadership. Interprets data and analyses to help business stakeholders in making operational and strategic decisions. The Sr. Business Analyst will be assigned to one of the following areas based on number of years experience and education: Patient Yield/Front, Mid/Coding Metrics, Payer Yield/Denials, Vendor Performance, PB and/or Post Acute requiring minimal oversight.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Creates insights based on detail analytics for one of the following assigned areas of revenue cycle: Patient Yield/Front, Mid/Coding Metrics, Payer Yield/Denials, Vendor Performance, PB and/or Post Acute

  • Provides data and financial analyses to support business development and operational and strategic planning initiatives. Defines problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, judge accuracy, appropriateness and plausibility of reports and financial proposals.

  • Leads the investigation of complex issues or problems to determine the best solutions. Defines process improvements and develops project proposals. Guides multi-disciplinary project teams through completion of each project. Insures that key metrics are defined, developed, tracked, evaluated.

  • Partners with all levels of the organization and act as an internal consultant and trusted business partner. Partners with business leaders to understand current workflows and develop future workflows that will result in operational improvements.

  • Acts as local support and super user, working with departments to identify issues and root causes and process improvement. Provides project management support for leadership. Leads implementation plans to ensure stability of workflows and solutions.

  • Assists in the development of population, demographic, and utilization forecasting, historical trend analyses, financial feasibility studies, and quantitative analyses that allow the organization to assess and improve the performance of healthcare delivery.

  • Coordinates special requests for financial information to facilitate efficient retrieval of data and accurate reporting.

  • Meets with customers to understand reporting needs, and coordinates with other professionals to deliver reporting that aligns with organizational strategies and that allows for analytical solutions. Acts as liaison with operations for any reporting changes requested.

  • Participates in all mandatory staff meetings, in-services and training programs to ensure continued understanding of all policies, procedures and improvement processes.

  • Develops dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau or Power B

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Technology or equivalent education/experience

  • 5 years Analytical experience in healthcare financial analysis or related discipline.

  • 3 years Revenue Cycle or Finance experience required

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Excellent organizational skills
