Providence Health & Services Quality RN Specialist in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Quality RN Specialist (Nursing Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. In this position you will:
Coach, support and mentor staff as needed to maintain or improve competency with performance improvement.
Demonstrate proficiency with the nursing process and with related performance improvement projects.
Incorporate adult learning principles into action plan when working on projects that involve a change of behavior for patients, families, or staff.
Understand continuum of care as reflected in performance improvement plans and activities.
Analyze cost and clinical data and makes recommendations and assist in the implementation of change in clinical practice to facilitate a high quality environment.
Collaborate with medical and administrative staff in setting priorities for quality improvement activities.
Contribute to and/or designs research studies applicable to a designated patient population.
Coordinate activities in developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement processes for a defined patient population.
Coordinate the collection and reporting of clinical and financial data for a defined patient population to appropriate medical staff department/committee and administration.
Review nursing and medical care for potential improvements in clinical effectiveness.
Effectively develops and implements strategic plans in conjunction with organizational goals and objectives.
Maintain knowledge of JC and other regulatory body guidelines.
Implement standards/articulates standards to staff.
Provide high quality, concise reports and presentations to physicians and staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the state of Montana
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing
3 years experience in Clinical nursing, customer relations, and patient outcomes
Projects, Joint Commission, and leadership experience
